The cute new family!

After the sweet little baby was born, Katie needed a little snack. So my hubby actually had them pose like this... He said, "Ok Katie, now I need you to take a bite and I'll take picture mid-bite. It'll be great". He's nuts. I love him. So, here's the new family!
I'll post cuter pics later!

The little baby is here!

Yesterday afternoon, Rode called me and told me I'd have to go pick up mom last night from the airport. He told me Katie's water broke when she was at the Fit Stop on the treadmill... haha classic. So she called Rode and he told her to go the hospital. She went and they said, "The baby's coming". So Katie wasn't quite ready yet. She headed home to take a shower and pack... which I love that she did. haha.
Mom flew in last night at 8:45. On the way to pick her up, Denver and I bought a car seat for the new baby that was on her way! (It's true, they didn't have one yet :D). So, all the while I'm receiving text messages from Rode telling me "She's at a 6....7.... 9 1/2... you better hurry!" We're driving out to Heber 90 miles an hour (we almost ran out of gas and had to stop and put a couple bucks in... which only added to the excitement!) Mom calls Mama Winterton to find out what the status is when we were driving between Park City and Heber. Mama said, she's ready to push but she's stalling to wait for you guys! When we got there, that little baby... she was ready to come and play! Katie pushed that baby out in a little over an hour! She came at 11:32 last night! Katie was ok with an audience at the birth, so Mom, Mama, Anita, Holly, Brooke, Rode and myself were all in there, not to mention the doctor and 2 nurses. Rode's dad and Denver waited in the hall.
I was a little nervous to be there for it because I thought, that's intense, I don't know if I'll ever want babies if I see this. Not even close... that was truly the most amazing thing I have experienced! The Spirit that was felt was so incredible! It even made me cry a little! It even makes me cry now when I think about it. It is such a miracle! The human body is the most fascinating thing! We are so blessed to have our bodies! And that little baby girl, she is the most beautiful baby! I love that you can feel the love of our Heavenly Father as you look at her! You know she came from His presence.
She is the most beautiful little baby! She doesn't have a name just yet. She was 20 inches long and 7 lbs. 14 oz. She has dark hair and it was even a little curly! She has big adorable lips! I am so excited to have another cute little neice come into my life! Congrats to Katie and Rode and their beautiful baby girl!
I will post some pictures over the next couple of days!

My new computer

So, Denver and I have been talking recently about getting me a computer too. He's always on his computer and when he's not I don't want to be on it because I want to be spending time with him. So, we figured with his business, it would be good if I had my own computer so that I can be his office girl. I'll do his quickbooks, his whatever else needs to be done as far as organization on my own computer.
So now... new story... but it's related and it will tie back together. I "graduated" from college in April... ie, I walked in the graduation, we had a big party then the next week I still had to finished 6 credits to complete my minor. So I finished all of my health minor credits- with a 4.0 I might add. Two days ago, I get a call from my academic advisor Gale... sweet, sweet Gale. She leaves a message, "Hi Heather honey, just wondering if you're going to be finished with your online class on time for your diploma to be sent in August." CRAP!... "Online class?", you ask... It's true. In January, I signed up for an online class and promptly forgot about it! I had read the first chapter back in January and that's all. So I call Gale back and she tells me I have two weeks. Now is when the stories come together.
I email Denver in a hurry because let's be honest... I'm flipping out at this point! I say, "Um sweetheart, we should probably consider a computer sooner rather than later. My online class is stressing me out and I need to get it done and out of the way." I send him the link to the computer pictured above which was a ridiculously cheap price and say "What do you think?". Less than a half an hour later I get an email back that said, "Done!" and an order confirmation attached!!!!
So that's my really long exciting story about getting a computer! It has been shipped and should get here any day now! I'm so excited... especially to get that online class done! Yikes!

Gunner's trip to the vet!

My little puppy went to the vet last week! The vet said he was very healthy and a handsome dog. Amen... he sure is! He got some shots in his bum and they must have burned because he was chasing his tail and biting his bum for the rest of the night! haha. This picture absolutely does NO justice to what really happened on that table. They all look so calm... hah! Gunner was ALL over the place! The vet's assistant had her arms wrapped around him and was trying to get him to settle down... it was pretty funny to watch someone other than me try to wrestle the dog to be still.
It was, of course, like any other doctor's office. They told us they were ready for us and took us back to our little uncomfortable room with the table. The only differences were that there was no butcher paper and they didn't make Gunner slip into a johnny. I think we then sat in that room for about 45 minutes waiting for the "doctor" to arrive. So Gunner was going stir crazy in the little room. Luckily, I had an empty water bottle in my purse that he destroyed. He chased it around the room for a while and that got boring. So he laid on my lap and we relaxed until the vet was ready.

Our night at Utah Lake

Denver and I decided to bring Gunner to Utah Lake on Friday night! It was his second time swimming and he LOVES it! It is hilarious! He doesn't just run into the water... he jumps. It is so unbelievably cute. After swimming, we all ran around the field mostly trying to get some of Gunner's energy out before we got in the car to head to Wallsburg. It was really fun! Somewhere on this blog of ours, we'll have a video of Gunner swimming... you'll see what I mean about how unbelievably cute he is!

Creating links

Ok everyone... I may have been able to create a blog... and let's just face the facts, it was ridiculously easy. But, I can't figure out how, on the side, I put links to everyone else's blogs. Like Denver's HDWeddingEvents blog, moms, katie's, kelleys... that's basically all I know as of right now. haha. Anyway, someone help me out! Thanks!

FINALLY!

Here you are family! Our first blog!! I finally did something computer related on my own! I know, I'm so amazing. Let's be honest, Katie's template is cooler... I almost chose it and said, "oops! sorry sis, I didn't realize it was the same!" Buuut, I thought mine should probably be different than hers. I will hopefully post some pics soon! Especially of my cute little puppy Gunner!! It's basically unbelievably ridiculous how cute he is! I'm not gonna lie though, Xanderman totally wins that battle AND the cute new little baby girls will definitely win the hearts of mom and dad. Anyway, here it is.. I'll post again soon with pictures!
